The problem with washing is always relevant. Things get dirty and keeping them clean is a must-do. A washing machine will help in this difficult task. It cleans clothes better and faster, it saves energy, time and even the family budget. So, living without a washing machine in the modern world is crazy. How to choose the washing machine? Let’s figure out.
1. Size, weight, and type of loading
You need to start the selection with three main parameters that are tightly intertwined. These are the size of the washing machine, the weight, and type of loading the laundry.
According to the type of loading washing machines are divided into two categories: front-loading and vertical. The first type is the most popular: linen is laid horizontally through the front hatch of the device. Front-loading washing machines are divided in size into several subtypes:
- full-size (height – 85 cm; width – 60 cm, depth – 60 cm);
- standard (height – 85 cm; width – 60 cm, depth – 45-60 cm);
- compact (height – 85 cm; width – 60 cm, depth – 30-45 cm).
- vertical loading machines often have standard sizes: height – 85-90 cm, width – 40-45 cm, depth – 60 cm.
Each washing machine has a maximum load weight. It varies from 3 to 8 kilograms and above.
2. Energy, washing and spin class
The letters A, B, C, D, G – are a classification of efficiency, which responds three parameters: energy consumption, washing quality, and spin efficiency. For example, energy class A means energy consumption during washing 0.17-0.19 kWh / kg, and B – 0.19-0.23 kWh / kg.
The spin modes A, B, and C mean how much moisture the washing machine will squeeze out at the end of the wash:
- C – about 55-60% of moisture remains;
- B – about 45-55%;
- A – less than 45%.
